XMUM Ultimate Frisbee Club organised its first inter-university Frisbee competition on 22 June 2019. It was titled “Poseidon and the Seven Seas Hat”, referring to “Xiamen-Krakens”, the name of the varsity team.

The purpose of the event is to enhance social interactions among the club members and with the collegiate Frisbee community. It also aimed to improve the speed, running endurance, agility and overall metabolism of the participants, and simultaneously lift everyone’s mood.

A total of 136 participants from UCSI University, University of Nottingham Malaysia, HELP University and XMUM signed up for the competition. The players were divided into eight teams - Black, Peach, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Emerald, White, and Green, each consisting of 17 members.

The teams were split into two pools – A and B – for a smoother flow. After 24 matches, Team Peach and Team Black snatched champion’s title for Pool A and Pool B respectively, with Team Blue and Team Orange as their runners-up. Team Orange earned Spirit Award because of their overflow of enthusiasm. Though this event, everyone made many new friends and lots of fond memories.
